A very special 'Thank You' to artist Anne Heffernan who officially opened my exhibition '42' on Saturday evening. Anne, as my drawing teacher and mentor, had a great influence on my decision to become a full-time artist. And so, it was a great pleasure for me to hear her speak about my work and the development of my unique way of making art. All who were there found her words to be insightful and inspiring.
Thank you to all of you who attended the launch and made the occasion of my fifteenth exhibition at Wexford Festival Opera so memorable.
My exhibition of paintings and other works runs from 18th October until 2nd November in Selskar House, Selskar Street, Wexford. I am looking forward to seeing you there.
Yes; I really have enjoyed working towards my latest exhibition 'SUMMER FISHING'. All inspired by days out on the boat with my husband Brendan. He actually caught a bass and has been expounding on the story for ever since. Bet you'll overhear him at the launch .......hands this far apart .......telling all about the one that didn't get away!
You can view the work from the exhibition here.
